Our Services
At Empower Pediatric Therapy, we specialize in occupational therapy evaluation and treatment for children and their families. Occupational therapists can assist children in a variety of areas, addressing motor, sensory, cognitive, and social skills to promote independence in developmentally appropriate tasks. Childhood “occupations” we often help with include meaningful participation in home, school, and community activities, including play, daily self-care, and learning.
Evaluation
Empower Pediatric Therapy offers a variety of assessment tools to formally and informally evaluate each client to determine individual strengths and limitations. The specific assessment(s) will be determined by the evaluating therapist after discussing specific concerns with caregivers. The initial evaluation typically takes 60 -90 minutes to complete. Following the evaluation, your therapist will create a detailed report and discuss results and specific goals for therapy at your child’s first treatment session.

Your child may benefit from occupational therapy treatment if you have any of the following concerns:

Neurodiversity affirming methods
At Empower Pediatric Therapy, we encourage caregivers to take an active role in therapy sessions. You are always welcome to come into the treatment area, get down on the floor with us, and join in. We hope to model therapeutic techniques and coach caregivers so that they feel empowered to carryover strategies at home.
